of giant stone jars scattered around the Xieng Khouang plain in Laos that form
one of the most bizarre archaeological collections ever recorded in history.
These jars appear in clusters and range from a single jar to several hundred on
the lower foothills surrounding the central plain and upland valleys. With

any trip to Phonsavan a memorable experience while hiking the famous Site 1, 2, 3 and the mysterious and far away Site 52 (Ban Phakeo) of the Plain of Jars area.
